Hackathon’25 was a showcase of incredible innovation, where 12 teams competed to create groundbreaking solutions aimed at improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The competition brought together some of the brightest minds, united by a shared goal of using technology to break down barriers and enhance quality of life. We are proud to present the winners, whose contributions have the transformative power to change lives.
1st Place – Team ISpeak
Team ISpeak developed a transformative eye-tracking communication interface for individuals with severe disabilities like ALS and Locked-In Syndrome. This intuitive technology empowers those unable to speak or move to communicate, giving them back their voice. Their work exemplifies how technology can bridge the gap between limitation and expression, enhancing independence for those with disabilities.
2nd Place – Team SignMate
Team SignMate created an AI-powered web application that makes learning sign language engaging and accessible. With interactive tutorials, real-time sign recognition, and a gamified experience, it bridges communication between the deaf and hearing communities. This platform empowers users to learn sign language and promotes inclusivity and understanding.
3rd Place – Team Memory Mate
Memory Mate developed a mobile app that uses image recognition technology to help individuals with memory loss recognize people they’ve met. The app stores photos with names and notes, allowing users to easily identify individuals and improve social interactions, and quality of life. With its user-friendly interface and focus on privacy, Memory Mate enhances independence for those affected by memory impairment.
These remarkable solutions are just a glimpse into the future of accessible technology. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants for displaying their compassion, creativity, and commitment to making the world a more inclusive place.
