Department of Transportation needed intelligent surveillance solutions that detect real-time traffic incidents and notify the authorities on time. Edge-based video analytics in security cameras make this possible by allowing the operators to configure the regions of interest to get live incident reports helping them to dispatch rescue and support teams. It also necessitates the solution to interoperate with various other system components in the operations control center.
The customer wanted to enter the premium segment of security cameras for the transportation industry with high-end features, including traffic analytics. The camera has to serve real-time video streams and analytics data to a browser-agnostic web client. Additionally, these data streams and other metadata should comply with IP camera standards like ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) for interoperating with third-party Video Management Systems (VMS). These cameras should also support centralized authentication and comply with advanced security standards as hundreds of cameras are deployed together for transportation surveillance.
Trenser established a dedicated engineering team for the development of the camera software for various product lines. The team also integrated the cameras with multiple popular VMS systems. The development process followed the agile scrum model.
Trenser function as an Extended ER&D Center for all our software development needs with a long-term focus. Wow, we're already in the 6th year of working together!
