Overview

A SaaS-based clinical research and collaboration platform which provides an end-to-end solution for clinical trials, academic research, and drug discovery. It contains a robust workflow that helps the researchers collaborate easily and productively. It integrates with numerous external systems for data collection and analysis. The platform also provides a medical image viewer that can display 2D and 3D DICOM/NIFTI images. It is a zero-footprint viewer and can run on any PC that has a web browser.

The customer envisioned a software platform for collaborative research activities. They wanted to provide an easy and robust workflow for medical researchers. The platform was to be equipped with a diagnostic class medical image viewer and integrated with multi-modality medical equipment for diagnostic imaging.

Trenser was the technology partner to the customer, and the primary tasks included business Analysis, the entire software development, 3rd party system integrations, L2/L3 technical support & maintenance, and feature additions.

Project Outcome

The platform could substantially improve multi-center collaborative research productivity for University Hospitals.
It enabled a standardized research data format for clinical research organizations.
The new software architecture helped ease of 3rd party software integration helped R&D spend reduction.
