Overview

The customer wanted to develop a cloud-based Network Management System to provide an integrated and modular solution to monitor all network equipment across multiple locations. It enables centrally monitoring, managing, and configuring all critical network assets. Global dashboards laid over the drill-down maps, alarm escalation, and predictive analytics seamlessly ensure near 100% uptime of critical network infrastructure across the enterprise with full FCAPS features enabled. Can integrate new network asset types with less effort. Communication protocols and alarm escalations work across heterogeneous networks and equipment. Modern UX design envisaged replacing legacy user interface. Responsive web-based UI for dashboards and Mobile applications to view critical network notifications and summary dashboard.

NMS systems manage high availability products for critical IT infrastructure with 99.999% uptime and guaranteed SLA to end-users. Hence NMS vendors wanted to equip their network engineers and IT managers to access the NMS systems from anywhere to provide quick responses. They will need to get notified of network events on their mobiles and handheld devices. Also, medium to large enterprises with multiple locations/ offices have become common. Hence they need to visualize and manage entire network systems from a single dashboard with drill-down features.

Long-term partnership to provide software development and maintenance services. The development followed Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) with three-month release trains (18 months development for initial version). DevOps toolchain established to ensure continuous delivery.
