Onam at Sadhana Renewal Center, Monvila, Trivandrum

Sadhana Renewal Center, Monvila, 6^th September 2019, Friday 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Our CSR team proposed to visit Sadhana Renewal Center, Monvila, Trivandrum during Onam, the local festival of Kerala this year. With the permission from the center administration, we planned to spend quality time with the inmates of Sadhana Renewal Center under our Sharing Meal with a Smile scheme.

We were welcomed by the administrative team and members of the center on 6th September 2019 noon. Sadhana Renewal Center has got a great administrative team who are humble and committed to run the center in the best possible way with contributions from the local society. There are about 70 inmates in the rehabilitation center, which aims to provide shelter to the mentally challenged. The center runs in a large campus like environment.

We had an hour-long interactive session with music and dance performances from our side and from Sadhana members side as well. We then served traditional lunch (Onasadya) to all of them. We too had our lunch along with them and the administrative team. We supplied dresses and bed sets for all the members. We heartily thank the Sadhana Renewal Center administration team under Fr. Dominic for giving us the opportunity to contribute to their continued efforts, though in a small way. Sadhana Renewal Center (http://www.tsss.in/tsss-sadhana-renewal%20centere.php)  is a joint initiative of the Claretian Missionaries of St. Thomas Province and the Archdiocese of Trivandrum.
